Position Overview

The Supply Continuity Analyst executes a range of procurement functions designed to achieve a high level of client service and satisfaction. This is an independent contributor position.  
 
The Supply Continuity Analyst prepares procurement reports and analyzes the data. This position will work effectively with several pieces of procurement information and ensure procurement activities stay on schedule. The analyst must also be a highly organized professional with strong planning skills and clear communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
 
  • Prepare, analyze, and action Days On Hand supply reports to identify and resolve potential supply gaps.
  • Work directly with vendors on key procurement activities, including purchase order expediting and ship date confirmations.
  • Partner and communicate with customer facing teams around at-risk items with clear, detailed updates and information.
  • Review inventory positions to ensure that gap and expedite purchases are minimized.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams around at-risk item trends by vendor.
  • Ensure a seamless supply of inventory is available to customers.
  • Develop reports by gathering and analyzing business techniques to be used in business planning and strategic development.
  • Synthesize data and identify data integrity issues through operations and financial analysis to drive performance.
  • Monitor trends in data and vendor performance to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
Skills
 
  • Detail oriented, analytical, organized, and objective.
  • Be able to analyze data quickly and develop action plan based on that data.
  • Possess financial acumen and negotiation experience
  • Be very proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel-excellent, Word / Power Point/ Access - strong)
  • Proven ability to develop and implement robust, sustainable processes and practices
  • Possess sound judgment relative to deadlines
  • Possess strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Have the ability to collaborate with various levels of suppliers, customers, employees and senior staff (Phone, e-mail, and in-person) 
Experience
 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar purchasing/supply chain/operations function
  • Experience with vendor sourcing
  • Experience with negotiations
  • 2-4 years data and financial analysis experience
  • Experience in executing “Continuous Improvement” projects
  • 4 year degree from accredited college/university in related field
  • Open-minded, trustworthy, flexible, adaptable and team oriented.
  • Strong initiative to manage independently and to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence others in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide proactive, effective leadership.
